The Wheatsheaf Winter Wonderland
During the first lockdown I promised all staff and customers that no matter what was thrown at us we would push forward to have the best Christmas ever seen at the Wheatsheaf.
No one could have known we would once again be locked down as December arrived!
2 options presented themselves as November approached…… Sit back in these uncertain times and wait to see how things unfold or start planning and organising for a Christmas that would put much needed smiles on faces……..
Standing still is just one step from moving backwards!!
We have been working hard over the last few weeks creating
The ‘’In’’ Outside….. a much needed additional outdoor space in the form of heated a 30 seat marquee.
We are opening for the sale of Christmas trees from Thursday 26th November, moving the yearly operation from Springhills farm just down the road, to the Wheatsheaf where you can pick your perfect tree and have it delivered if required…. Telephone orders also welcome
Lindsay & Sarah have put together a fantastic range of stocking fillers in the form of Retro sweets and imaginative gift packages which will be sold from their Christmas Market Stall along with some Wheatsheaf branded clothing which many customers have been asking for.
Andy will be in charge of Santas Snack Shack serving up among other things tasty Christmas burgers & hot dogs.
Hot chocolate, tea, coffee and mulled wine will be available to warm you up on chilly evenings and we have a Fantastic Array of Christmas Lights to get you in the mood and help captivate that Christmas spirit we could all do with as 2020 comes to an end.
We hope the pub and restaurant will be fully open for those who want something a little stronger or a sit down meal from our Fabulous Christmas Menu however we will have to work within whatever restrictions are in place and are still guessing at this moment in time.
Whatever you’re looking for, you will find at least some of it at The Wheatsheaf Winter Wonderland. Come and join us as we bring a close to the trials of 2020 and look forward with a positive mind and smiles on our faces to a memorable Christmas and a New Year that will take us to the normality we have all been missing.
Merry Christmas Everyone
Mark, Sarah, Lindsay, Candice, Claire, Abby, Andy, Nick and of course all of Santa’s little helpers!!
